Melvin L. Jackson is a singer, songwriter, producer, audio engineer, and music executive whose career reflects a lifelong commitment to music, creativity, and independent artistry.
Born in Minter City, Mississippi and raised in East St. Louis, Illinois, Melvin developed a deep appreciation for soul, R&B, gospel, blues, and the timeless sound of classic American music.
A graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Radio-TV and a minor in Business Administration, Melvin also studied broadcasting engineering at the Elkins School of Broadcasting in St. Louis.
As founder of MJ Entertainment, Melvin brings together his experience as an artist, songwriter, producer, engineer, and music executive to create and promote original music while supporting independent artistry.
